ah dang i really feel like this has been my first ever actually restful weekend since i came to university, like i’m not overwhelmed and stressed out over any class and i’m feeling pretty good about myself

and hanging with like-minded people always helps, tonight we played taboo, watched a weird japanese movie called ‘fish story’ and played smash bros for like 3 hours and it was so fun.

plus their dogs are super cute and cuddly so that helped too

forcing myself off dmo to go eat chinese food with some friends

that makes sense, thank you so much for explaining!! man I can already see I’m going to be tempted to buy stuff like digieggs from the cash shop, but there’s still a chance even those won’t make it to 4/5 or 5/5?

yeah, unfortunately. most of the cash shop digieggs are guaranteed to 3, so they’ll at least hatch, but unless you can find one that says specifically level 4 or 5, it all comes down to luck!

you can tell flamedramon was designed in late 90s/2000 because why did people think putting flame prints all over something was cool like even back then

What does 5/5 mean btw, is it sort of like IVs for pokemon?

kind of, it’s the level at which your mercenary (or partner) digimon hatches from their egg at. hatching your digimon can be really frustrating (or rather, it IS really frustrating lmfao). once you get a mercenary digiegg, which you either buy from a cash shop or is dropped from a digimon, you need to incubate it. you get data from fighting similar-type digimon (like beast, plant, devil, etc) and use that data to hatch your digimon by level. there are 5 levels total, but you have to get to level 3 to actually hatch your digimon but there’s no guarantee you can get to level 3 without breaking (unless you buy a specific egg from the cash shop that says so). the egg can still break between levels 1, 2, and 3 but if you do get it to level 3, you have a choice from there to either hatch your digimon, or to try your luck to get to level 4 or even 5, which is REALLY difficult and rage-inducing, BUT your digimon will be a lot more powerful at those levels (and physically larger) and its usually recommended that you try for at least a 4.

haha i hope that makes sense! it was pretty confusing for me when i first started playing, but its kinda one of those learn-as-you-go things. this game has a LOT of stuff it doesn’t really explain well to you, but you can come to me if you have any questions! … and if i don’t know (because i’m actually still relatively new to it too) i’ll consult one of my friends lmfao!!
